Liina Siib (Estonia)   Die Etappe / Stage

The video “Die Etappe / Stage” presents a summer’s day in an underground station – a melting pot of countless stories – exploring the questions of how we perceive our environment and what narrative processes the things we see can trigger in us. What scenes linger?

The video is part of the collaboration with Austrian writer Anna Weidenholzer who was in residency at the Junge Akademie in Berlin in 2019/2020. The visual imagery of the video was followed by a short story “Wo du die Zwiebeln finden wirst / Where To Find The Onions” by Anna Weidenholzer and then a lay-out of the text brochure and installation created for the exhibition “Where the Story Unfolds” at the Akademie der Künste in Berlin in February 2020.
