From open plain to deep shelter, the Rising had turned out wrong.

The most needful journeys were postponed, radio dreams of the past overlaid the demands of the future.

Dan Norton and Gair Dunlop met at the DJCAD Electronic Imaging Masters course in 2001.

A mutual fascination with imaginary futures and their relics began.

“Cumbernauld: town for tomorrow” was their first online collaboration, followed by ‘Console’ a room- based interactive environment commissioned by FACT Liverpool.

Increasingly labyrinthine online and multiscreen works followed, such as ‘The Tomorrows Project’ with public shows accompanied by live musicians from Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra. These works bridge online and real world presentation, and bring the imaginaries of each viewer into play. Viewers become participants, mixing their own version of the work.
